Nothing's first AI-native product ships in December
Nothing CEO Carl Pei says the London company's first AI-native product ships in December 2026. Name, price, form and UK launch all remain unconfirmed.
On 4 November 2026, Nothing CEO Carl Pei posted on X that the London company's first "AI-native" product ships in December. The Verge, TechCrunch, Notebookcheck and Digital Trends reported the post. Nothing has not given a name, features, a price, a UK price or a day in December. The photograph is Nothing Headphone (1), an existing headphone, not the new device. Nothing has not released it.

What Pei wrote
Quoted by The Verge: "Our first AI-native product ships next month. It's a tool, but one built with the personality and care that have come to define a Nothing product. It has no new screen, and it couldn't have been an app."
He also wrote: "The whole industry is hunting for its iPhone moment: the pendant, the pin, the glasses, the companion, some magical consumer device that makes AI part of everyone's life." And: "Looking for the iPhone of AI today is a dead end."
TechCrunch reports that he called it a "productivity tool", and reads the lines above as downplaying a pendant, a pin or glasses. That reading is not a specification.
The post came with a piece titled Toolmakers. Digital Trends says he argues that big shifts often start in the workplace, and that AI has a "context gap": it can be capable and still know little about daily life. Any claim that the device records daily life is, Digital Trends says, guesswork. Nothing has not confirmed it. The Verge and Notebookcheck describe the only image as a "NOTHING(R)" mark and a black rounded corner, not a specification.
What is unconfirmed
No name, form factor, feature list, price, UK price or exact date. A UK launch is plausible, because Nothing is a London company. It is not confirmed.
Pei wrote "no new screen". The Verge and Notebookcheck read that as no screen. Digital Trends notes that "no new screen" is not the sentence "no screen". The shape is unconfirmed.
Earlier claims are reports, not this product. The Verge cites a rumour of two pairs of AI smart glasses, one without cameras. Notebookcheck says Nothing has not tied that rumour to December. TechCrunch reports separate talk of AI-linked glasses and earbuds with AI features. Nothing has not said this product is either.
What AI does here
Nothing has called it AI-native: a tool, not an app. It has not named a model, said whether any processing is on the device or in the cloud, or listed a feature. A microphone, a camera, what it stores and a UK price are unpublished.
From Amazon UK listings on 5 November 2026, not from use. Headphone (1): AI-powered Clear Voice Technology, four call microphones, trained on over 28 million scenarios, not a chatbot. Ear (3): a Super Mic in the case for calls and voice notes, and no named AI model. NotePin S: transcription in 112 languages and summaries; the listing calls it a wearable AI note taker. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2): say "Hey Meta" for answers or live translation in six languages, and capture 12 MP photos and 3K video by voice. Note Pro: Ask Plaud answers from your audio, and a display means it is not screen-free.
Privacy
A screen-free gadget or wearable recorder is often a microphone, and sometimes a camera, carried with you. Ask whether it listens only after a button or a wake phrase, whether it records, where audio goes, and how long it is kept. Nothing has not published any of that for the December product.
The listings are narrower: call microphones on the Nothing audio, a long-press record plus GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001 and EN18031 on NotePin S, and a camera with "Hey Meta" on the Ray-Ban glasses. No retention period is stated. Nothing has not said the new device matches any of them.

FAQ
When does it ship, and what is it called?
December 2026, from "next month" on 4 November. No product name, and no day in the month.
Will the UK get it, and for how much?
Not confirmed. Nothing is based in London, so a UK launch is plausible. No price is published.
Does it have a screen?
Unconfirmed. Pei wrote "no new screen", and the reports disagree on what that means.
