The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is Roborock's S8-generation all-in-one: a LiDAR robot that vacuums and mops, then parks in a RockDock Ultra that empties the bin, washes and dries the mop, refills the tank and cleans its own tray. It is not a children's toy. There is no manufacturer age range. It suits mixed hard floors and carpet, pet hair, and owners who will spend an evening on mapping and no-go zones.
AIToys.co.uk selects and researches from manufacturer specifications, the live Amazon UK listing and repeated owner reports. We do not run a lab and we do not claim a first-hand test. Spec figures are Roborock's published claims unless marked as owner reports.
On 9 September 2026 the buyable Amazon UK offer was ASIN B0BYXJ6M83, the white S8 Pro Ultra with cleaning station (listing copy: Weiß). It showed in stock but scarce: "Only 12 left in stock." The price was £1,260.74. Price correct as of 9 September 2026. A snapshot, not a deal claim. We never call it the lowest price. The older English listing (B0BVB5PTDK) was currently unavailable. Every buy button here points at the live white ASIN.

| Live ASIN | B0BYXJ6M83 (white / Weiß UK listing) |
| Price snapshot | £1,260.74 on 9 September 2026. Stock was scarce |
| Verdict | Still the S8-era all-in-one Roborock: 6000Pa, sonic mop, self-maintaining dock. Buy it if the live listing is in stock and you can live with the dock size and the app |
What you are actually buying
The carton is a two-part system.
The robot is a circular chassis with a centre LiDAR turret, DuoRoller dual rubber brushes, a VibraRise 2.0 mop module and Reactive 3D sensors on the bumper. Roborock rates HyperForce suction at 6000Pa, mop vibration at about 3000 times per minute, mop pressure above 6N, and a 5mm mop lift. Brushes and mop can lift. Runtime on the spec sheet is about 180 minutes, charge about four hours.
The RockDock Ultra is why it costs flagship money: mop wash and dry, self-empty into a bag Roborock quotes at about seven weeks, dock self-clean, and auto refill with a 300 m² mopping-range claim. Treat those intervals as manufacturer figures. Pets and wet mopping change how often you empty bags and tanks.
The live UK buy box is the white colourway. English-listing photos are often the dark grey set. Same model family, different paint. Check the live page if the finish matters.

RockDock Ultra: what the station is for
Without the dock, an S8 is another capable robot you still have to rinse. With it, the daily loop is: send the job from the app, let it dock, and leave the wet pad and the bin to the station.
- Self-emptying: the dock sucks the robot bin into a disposable bag. The "about seven weeks" line is Roborock's, not a promise for a shedding dog.
- Mop wash and dry: the station scrubs and dries the pad so you are not parking a damp cloth for days.
- Auto refill: clean water in the dock tops up the robot. The 300 m² mopping-range claim is Roborock's internal figure.
- Dock self-clean: the tray is meant to rinse itself rather than sit as a gritty puddle.
Owner reports still mention topping up clean water, emptying dirty water, and buying bags and pads. The dock removes the worst weekly faff, not the consumables.
You also need floor space. The station is a tall cabinet with a ramp. Roborock's setup notes ask for a clear run-up. A tiny studio will feel it. For a compact dock, see the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo.

Household fit, pets and what you still have to do
Age guidance does not apply. This is not a STEM toy. Keep children and pets away during the first maps and follow Roborock's manual. A spinning side brush and a heavy dock sit in a normal home.
Pets: DuoRoller is two rubber rollers. Roborock sells that as fewer hair wraps. Owner reports on dual-rubber robots are mostly positive on long hair, with the caveat that very long hair still needs a pull-through.
Owner involvement: plan an evening. Place the dock on hard floor with a clear approach, join 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, create a Roborock account, run a mapping pass, name rooms, and draw no-go and no-mop zones around cables, pet bowls and fringed rugs. Obstacle avoidance helps. It does not replace that setup. Roborock's own graphic tells you to switch Reactive 3D on in the app.
Not ideal if the house is almost all deep-pile carpet (an upright still wins there), if you refuse a cloud-connected map of your rooms, or if there is no clear wall for the dock.
Mapping and navigation
Roborock uses PreciSense LiDAR: a rotating laser turret that builds a floor plan. Manufacturer copy talks about a fast first map and a 3D layout in the app. Multi-floor homes store separate maps; you still carry the robot between storeys. After the first run you name rooms, set schedules and draw virtual walls. Owner reports describe straight-line coverage. Missed patches usually mean a closed door, a tight no-go zone or a cable treated as a hazard.

Vacuuming: 6000Pa and DuoRoller
6000Pa is Roborock's HyperForce headline. Newer machines such as the Dreame X50 Ultra advertise more, but this figure is still enough for crumbs, fine dust and pet hair on hard floors and low-to-medium pile.
DuoRoller is two rubber rollers feeding debris into the suction path. Roborock's line is more cleaning power and fewer tangles. Owner reports tend to agree on hair, and still tell you to check the rollers after a week with a long-haired dog. On thick, shaggy rugs an upright still extracts more. If that is most of the house, this is the wrong flagship.

Mopping: VibraRise 2.0
The mop is not a damp drag. Roborock's VibraRise 2.0 module uses two vibration units, about 3000 scrubs a minute, more than 6N of downward pressure, and a 5mm lift. Those four numbers are manufacturer internal-test claims.
The lift is the mixed-floor feature. A hard kitchen into a hallway runner should not wet the rug if carpet detection works. Owner reports on S8-class VibraRise generally say the pad rises; still mark anything precious as a no-mop zone. Roborock also advertises auto brush lift so mop-only runs do not grind wet grit through the rollers. The dock then washes the pad. You still empty the dirty tank.

Obstacle avoidance: Reactive 3D
This model is specified with Reactive 3D, not the later RGB-camera ReactiveAI stack on some MaxV machines. Roborock says it can steer around shoes, scales and cables in bright and dark rooms, and that you should enable "Reactive Obstacle Avoidance" in the app. The same graphic quotes an internal-test limit of about 5cm wide and 3cm tall. That is not a promise it will skip every USB cable.

Owner reports: good on shoes and bowls, weaker on hair-thin cables, occasionally cautious on dark mats. Pick up the easy hazards for the first week, then tighten no-go zones.
App, voice control, Wi-Fi and privacy
The Roborock app (iOS and Android) is where the machine becomes useful. Manufacturer copy and the in-app screens cover:
- Room and zone cleaning
- No-go zones, including no-mop zones
- Cleaning history mapped onto the floor plan
- Schedules and custom routines (quiet in a bedroom, turbo in a living room)
- Dock modes: mop wash, mop dry, auto-empty
Voice hooks listed by Roborock are Alexa, Google and Siri. Those still need the app account and a working 2.4GHz join first.
2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. Roborock prints that warning on its own app graphic. Dual-band routers that hide the 2.4GHz SSID, or a guest network that blocks device-to-device traffic, are the usual pairing headache in owner reports.

Privacy: this is a connected robot that stores a map of your home and talks to a manufacturer's cloud through an account you create. Reactive 3D is a bumper sensor array, not a baby monitor, but you should still read Roborock's privacy policy and the app permissions. If the household rule is no maps on the network, this category is the wrong buy.

Roborock S8 Pro Ultra vs Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni
A lot of 2025 shoppers compared these two. Specs, not a live bake-off:
| Feature | Roborock S8 Pro Ultra | Ecovacs T30 Pro Omni |
| Suction (manufacturer) | 6000Pa | 11000Pa |
| Mopping | VibraRise sonic vibration | Rotating mop pads |
| Self-empty / mop wash / refill | Yes (RockDock Ultra) | Yes (OMNI station) |
| Obstacle avoidance | Reactive 3D + LiDAR | Camera + AI (Ecovacs spec) |
| Carpet mop lift | 5mm (Roborock claim) | 11mm (Ecovacs spec) |
| Live UK buy on 9 Sep 2026 | B0BYXJ6M83, £1,260.74, scarce | See the Ecovacs review; do not assume stock |
Headline suction favours the Ecovacs. Rubber-roller vacuuming and Roborock's map tools are why owners still pick the S8. Full write-up: S8 Pro Ultra vs T30 Pro Omni. Also the Ecovacs T30 Pro Omni review, Dreame X50 Ultra and Roborock Q Revo MaxV.
Who it is for
A good match if you have mixed hard floors and a few rugs, pet hair, and you want the dock to wash the mop and take the bin for weeks at a time. You will give it a clear wall, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and an evening of map editing.
A weaker match if the dock will block a hallway, if the house is deep-pile carpet, if you will not create an account or draw no-go zones, or if you wanted a current-gen 10,000Pa-plus spinner for less money. The best robot vacuums UK 2026 guide is the wider shortlist. How to choose a robot vacuum covers suction, mop lift and dock types without a single-model sales pitch.
Price and stock (9 September 2026)
Amazon UK showed £1,260.74 on B0BYXJ6M83, with only 12 left. Price correct as of 9 September 2026. Offers move. We will not call this the lowest price or a guaranteed deal. The English ASIN B0BVB5PTDK was already unavailable. If the white listing is gone, wait for a real buy box or pick an in-stock alternative from the robot vacuum roundup. Bags, pads and cleaner are extra.

FAQ
Is the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra still worth buying in 2026?
Yes, if you want this generation's all-in-one Roborock and the live listing is actually in stock. The spec has been passed by newer suction and lift numbers, but the dock, DuoRoller and VibraRise package is still a complete household system. It is a poor buy if you needed a compact dock or you will not set up the app.
Which Amazon UK listing should I use?
Use B0BYXJ6M83, the white / Weiß listing that was buyable on 9 September 2026. The English-titled B0BVB5PTDK page was out of stock. Affiliate links on this review all use tag aitoys-21 on the live ASIN.
Does it mop carpets?
Roborock specifies a 5mm mop lift and carpet detection so the pad should rise on rugs. Owner reports generally back that up. Still mark anything precious as a no-mop zone. Deep-pile carpet is the wrong job for this robot.
How much owner setup does it need?
A mapping run, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, a Roborock account, room names and no-go zones. Enable Reactive Obstacle Avoidance in the app. After that, schedules can run without you in the room. The first week is still an adult job.
Is it safe around pets and children?
Follow the manufacturer manual. It is a moving appliance with a side brush and a heavy dock, not a toy. Keep loose cables, small toys and pet mess off the first maps. We do not invent extra safety marks beyond what Roborock prints.
What about data and privacy?
You get a home map in an app and a 2.4GHz link to Roborock's service. Reactive 3D is the bumper sensor stack Roborock specifies for obstacles. Read the privacy policy and the app permissions. If that is not acceptable, buy a non-connected cleaner.
How long does the battery last?
Roborock quotes about 180 minutes of runtime and about four hours to recharge. Large homes will still see mid-job dock returns. Manufacturer claims.
Verdict
On manufacturer specs and owner reports, the S8 Pro Ultra remains one of the clearest "leave the dock to it" robots of its generation: 6000Pa HyperForce, DuoRoller, VibraRise 2.0 with a 5mm lift, Reactive 3D plus LiDAR, and a RockDock Ultra that washes, dries, empties, refills and self-cleans. The existing site score stays 4.6 / 5. That is not a new lab result.
The commercial catch is honest: a scarce white UK listing at £1,260.74 as of 9 September 2026, while the English page sits unavailable. If that buy box is gone, this page should not send you to an empty cart. If it is there, and you have the wall space and the patience for a proper map, it is still a flagship worth opening.
