Sensing is the other hardware line. Currys' Oura page describes a reworked sensor layout, stronger LEDs and 12 signal pathways. Oura Advisor
Oura Advisor is the AI feature. Oura's support documentation describes an assistant that can use your Sleep, Activity, Readiness and Resilience data, plus tags and profile details, when you enable that access. You can set a tone. Oura says you can delete threads and memories. A women's health model, developed with obstetrician-gynaecologists, is part of the current advisor description on Oura's support pages.
Oura also says that, like other large language model assistants, Advisor can make mistakes. That line belongs in the decision, not in a footnote you skip. Ask it why readiness is low and it may point at sleep or a tag you logged. It can also misread the pattern. The answer is general wellness information, not medical advice. Do not change medication, training through an injury, or a pregnancy plan because a chat replied.
Advisor is off unless you enable the data connection, on Oura's description of the control. If you do not want a model reading biometrics, leave it off. The ring can still collect the measurements the membership unlocks. You simply do not send that history into the chat.

Health Radar is not a blood pressure cuff
Health Radar is Oura's name for longer-running wellness signals. The ones to be careful with are Blood Pressure Signals and nighttime breathing. Blood Pressure Signals are a trend over time. They are not a millimetre-of-mercury reading from a cuff, and they are not a diagnosis of hypertension. Nighttime breathing is a wellness view of overnight respiration, not a sleep-clinic study.
Oura has also described GLP-1 companion tools and the ability to upload lab results in some markets. Counsel Health, the physician integration, and the personal health record import are US features. Do not assume either is available on a UK account. If a menu is missing, that is the expected outcome, not a fault in the ring.
The ring is a wellness product, not a medical device, unless Oura states a specific UK medical certification for a specific feature. Rings that do not charge a monthly fee change that sum.
